Though CDC had estimates at 0.4%, and that's still deadlier than the flu's 0.1 %
Nice attempt to downplay, but it's pretty deadly.
.4%, and almost all old people already on their deathbeds. Imagine how low it would have been if the stupid democrat governors weren't shoveling COVID-19 patients by the truckload into nursing homes. This is a perfect example of government pretending to help, but making the situation much, much worse. You better just hide under your bed for the next decade, it's gonna be a rough ride

Everything on TV is true.... Except FOX News, that's a Russian right wing propaganda conspiracy network because they don't say orange man bad enough They're also not trying hard enough to add fuel to this race war narrative CNN and the rest of the lame stream media is trying to cook up.
The CDC is the same organization that said masks were not necessary. They also grossly overestimated the mortality rate from the very start. If you would like to share with the class what the current estimated mortality rate is of COVID-19, many would like to know. It is much, much lower than their original estimates.
Their biggest death amount of 2 million was based on society doing absolutely nothing to counter the virus. So schools would have remained open. All concerts and sporting events would have gone on. Don't you quite strongly think that was how things should have gone? Everything left alone. Nothing closed. No talk of wearing a mask or social distancing done anywhere?

Last I checked it was also people with underlying health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and all those people were not on their deathbeds at all. In fact, most are between 30-65 working ages. They can't hide under their beds.
In Oklahoma, 80% of the deaths have happened to people age 65 or older. However, one of the young age groups from 18-35 has the most positive cases with 26% of them but with only 1.2% of the deaths. Ages 0 to 17 make up 5.2% of the cases with ZERO deaths. So schools in Oklahoma should be able to reopen in August. Universities, too.
Other ages for % of deaths:
36-49 - 2.1%
50-64 - 16.4%

Those Democratic Party mayors and governors don’t seem to be concerned about protestors (rioters) not maintaining social distance nor wearing face mask.
So is CNN. Except they lean far left, so you are cool with their flavor of propaganda.
How about the families in the 1950's? When we lost over 100,000 to the flu in one year, with 60% of the population?
How about the families in the 1960's who died of the Hong Kong flu? Over 100,00 lost in one flu season. Yet most Americans have never even heard of these rather deadly flu seasons.
I don't watch CNN. In fact, I don't have cable, partly because of the amount of fluff on the cable "news" networks, including CNN, FOX, and MSNBC. I've found PBS, NPR, etc. to be less biased, and to give a succinct summary of what's going on in the world without the level of political bias and noise that exists elsewhere. And I didn't say there was absolutely no left wing bias, but the right wing bias and disinformation is much more active right now.
I've heard of those flu seasons and they were horrible as well, but how does that lessen what's going on today, which is very real?
