The current protests across the country had resulted destruction of property.
I have experienced this as a New Yorker in the 70's. What I don't understand is the inclusion
of Churches as a victim of this violence. I cannot fathom the connection other than being
Anti-Christian. We are a nation based on Christianity.

What are protesters going to coin as the next new message?

NO JUSTICE NO PRIESTS....................

What's your opinion?
Inquiring minds would like to know.

We’re not a nation based on Christianity. So why would they skip churches in their rampages?

The Church wrongfully imprisoned, tortured and murdered 100s of Millions of people, and confiscated their property for centuries and centuries on end and you think the Church is a victim?

8+Million women were murdered for being witches because your god-thing didn't have the decency and common courtesy to tell your pope-thing that witches aren't real.

Karma, baby. What goes around, comes around.

Funny thing is, if this were the year 1520, you wouldn't be christian enough to be a christian, and you'd probably be one of Millions wrongfully imprisoned, tortured or murdered or had your property confiscated.

Lest you forget, it was Black churches that first protest the draft and the conduct of the Vietnam War. It was only years later that White churches joined the protest.

What exactly have churches done about police brutality against everyone, not just Blacks?

Nothing.

The Church might want to consider mustering up the moral courage to take a stand on the issue and speak out.

Most of Antifa are atheists. There end goal is a society of no religion and the consolidated power of a new group of people where THEY pick the winners and losers. They basically want to create a society like any other dictatorship. Church and Religion = bad.

We have a large Christian population, but we are not A Christian nation anymore than we are a Muslim, Jewish or Atheist nation.

We have spent the last 40 years tearing at our own institutions. Churches have suffered this too for a couple of reasons. The widespread child abuse scandal and subsequent coverups. But also churches lost the moral high ground by getting involved with politics and using pulpits to pimp candidates.

What Mircea said.

Some congregations used the Cain and Able story to justify slavery. And then Jim Crow.

I have no clue. I have no problem with protest. Gotta big problem with trashing people's property.

Heard in the night about the fire at St. John's Church but no details. That, IMO, is a sacrilege. Whoever did that needs castrating and then life in prison.

Nonsense.

"the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion" - Treaty of Tripoli, negotiated under Washington, signed under Adams, unanimous ratification
