Read this and see what's really happening on the front lines. See what your careless behavior is causing. The doctor in last last few paragraphs is an ER doc in NJ. He is my friend's cousin. His inlaws died of the virus a month ago.

I'm originally from Paterson NJ, which is the second most densely populated city over 100,000 in the US, after NYC (17,000 people per sq mile). Those people who are shouting to re-open businesses in exurban and more rural areas are going to be in for a rude awakening over the next 6 months. With their defiant attitude and lax social distancing, there will be a lot less of them to complain come Christmas 2020.

We have family that are in the Army medical units. They were deployed into the Coast Guard and sent to New York/New Jersey. They could tell you horrifying stories while the right wing corona truthers scream about masks and contact tracing.

Even right wing blogs are lamenting the paranoia coming from the right. Except it is Trump that started the conspiracy theories so they have no one to point to but the guy they voted for.

...it seems almost axiomatic that conspiracy believers are on the right. These theories run the gamut from claims that COVID-19 is a Chinese bioweapon to theories that Bill Gates will use a vaccine to inject “mark of the beast” microchips into Americans to the belief that Coronavirus death statistics are inflated to keep the economy shut down and make Trump look bad.

Ya, we didn't force Fung Flu into the old folks homes, for them to distribute it among themselves and staff, that travel from home to home checking on our seniors.
Blame Cuomo.... He is the reason it is so bad up there.

As Wisconsin showed well, nothing takes precedent over individual's rights to live freely.

We did lose a relative, but individual rights are what this nation is all about. Freedom was a big motivator for all of our ancestors.

We've had 9 pandemics in 300 years. No shutdowns until covid. I expect and applaud as more Wisconsin style cases hit the courts.

Isn't it amazing how everybody who has COVID is the cousin of a friend of a leftist?

Sounds like both Cuomo and trump need to answer for something.

I lol’d at “careless behavior”. I never dreamed there’d be a day when earning a paycheck would be deemed “careless behavior”.

While I applaud their service as many of my friends are doctors and nurses, doctors have the highest suicide rate of any profession and nurses commit suicide 4X as much as women in other professions. The news grabs these stories for shock value making it appear that it is due to Covid to keep many of you scared.

My best friend was an ICU nurse for 10 yrs and finally quite and became a school nurse because the job caused so much anxiety and she got ulcers. It got to the point that she would fall apart everytime one of her patients in ICU passed. This isn't something new.
