There is an insinuation among whites today that blacks should be part of their civil society, and the two should meld into one cultural unit.
I know this is tough to hear but white society has failed in this regard.
They put down black people for so many decades and centuries, they taught them they were lesser beings, freed them only to teach them they were better off as slaves.
They drowned and lynched them, and then disregarded them through economic means by dumping toxic waste in their communities because they would show the least adverse affects (since their communities already had poor health).
They were starving once and now they are made obese through feed stocks and targeted fast food, capital escapes their communities, and even the most progressive whites stay away.
A lot of white people want blacks to be just like them, and what they consider 'proper' or 'civil'. That is how they depicted Obama. Young whites think their cultural output is impressive, commodifying rap and 'gangster' culture.
But the most difficult thing to accept is failure.
Whites want to undue centuries of history to make everyone happy dispassionate consumers feeding from the same mass culture.
But guess what? You failed, its over, and blacks will never recover the way you want.
Well whites were pretty bad to the Chinese. They treated them poorly, forced them into Chinatowns, told them they cant have certain jobs, massacred them a handful of times, and then expelled them.
