I am so sick of mainly celebrities (and some politicians) making commercials talking about how staying home is so safe (in these uncertain times) It is NOT normal for people (especially kids) to be locked up and so isolated. Enough with showing us what your expensive house looks like while you are staying home. Stop trying to glamorize a life where most likely you pay someone to deliver food or do your errands. Most people do not live like that. The commercials that do educate us of Covid change the information later. No one knows for sure. Common sense should prevail. I am a senior and went grocery shopping twice a week since the virus hit. I wore a mask, did social distancing and brought hand sanitizer with and we had no trouble in Florida with loads of people getting the virus at grocery stores. I am sure there may be a few exceptions but people here for the most part used common sense. A high risk relative did (phone )doctors appointments and did not go out. People did panic over toilet paper but no one seems to be hoarading anymore. I am so glad I live in Florida and our Governor has common sense. I do not understand why residents in some states are just accepting a continuing lockdown that is just ruining the economy more.
The commercials are getting old, I agree. The auto dealer is not trying to sell me a $65,000 truck and deliver it to my house because they "care". There was some discussion about this in the TV part of this forum. I think you'd have more constructive discussion there than the Politics forum, but we'll see. ReineDeCouer (right above me) has good advice.
I'm glad our governor has common sense here in North Carolina too, but based on Florida's response, we may have a different idea on what common sense means, but it sounds like you're on the right track with precautions. We've had more restrictions than Florida, but contrary to commonly used terminology, not a "lockdown" and the restrictions have been based on the best available science of which establishments are high risk and which ones are low risk.
Don't worry, they are gradually fading away and will soon go the way of #stayhome, dancing nurse TikTok videos and the daily social media posts reminding you what an ignorant, selfish POS you are for sunbathing alone in a park.
Y'all have way more patience than me. The first 'we are in this together' ad got on my lsat nerve. SEriously --- stop spending that money on some senseless ad.......we aren't buying we are all in this together when you are trying to sell me a Lexus.

If I hear "We're in this together" one more time, I'll lose it. Nobody is "in this" with me.
