yeah, I know...it's not CNN, MSNBC, or the NYT.....

....prove them wrong

"Heritage Action debunked six key myths touted by Democrats regarding Georgia’s recently-passed election integrity law, which the radical left has falsely described as a voter suppression bill harkening to the era of Jim Crow."

"It requires that large precincts with lines more than an hour long take steps like adding voting machines and election personnel for the next election to reduce wait times."

"It does not change the number of total early voting days, and actually increases the mandatory days of early weekend voting. "

". Voters can continue to vote absentee with no excuse"

"Myth 5: The bill lets Republicans throw out any county votes they don’t agree with
FACT: The bipartisan State Election Board can do performance reviews of local election supervisors who fail their area’s voters with things like long lines and unfulfilled absentee ballot requests. The board will not overturn election results; the law simply provides a process to review and ensure officials are technically competent and complying with state laws and regulations . This process requires a high burden of proof over multiple elections, and the State Elections Board may only suspend up to four election supervisors at any given time, which guards against using this process to try to influence election outcomes."

"Myth 6: The bill bans drinking water for voters while waiting in line
FACT: Like the countless other states that have very specific laws against electioneering near polling places, Georgia has codified rules preventing political groups from handing out food or water to voters in line as an incentive to vote, but specifically allows poll workers to make water available to anyone who wants it. The law will also directly cut down wait times, meaning refreshment for people waiting in line will be less necessary."

"MYTH: new GA law discourages/suppresses voting

FACT: This law expands ballot access in key ways:

-Requires more voting machines and personnel to locations with lines > 1 hr
-Increases weekend early voting
-Mandates drop boxes in elections
-Adds online absentee ballot requests"

"MYTH: GA election law eliminates Sunday voting to suppress African-American votes

FACT: This law expands voting:

- Expanded Saturday voting to 2 mandatory days a month
- Localities still have option of holding early voting on 2 Sundays"

"MYTH: GA law eliminates drop boxes for absentee voters

FACT: Drop boxes weren’t even used until 2020 election as a pandemic precaution.

- This law makes drop boxes official in every GA election, in all 159 counties, and adds supervision measures."

"MYTH: GA Law bans water for voters waiting in line

FACTS:
- This law allows poll workers to make water available to voters
- Allows anyone to distribute food + water beyond 150 ft of poll location & 25 ft from voters
- Prevents political groups from influencing voters in line"

The GOP in GA can forget any campaign contributions from Delta or Coca Cola!

Texas GOP can forget any campaign contributions from American Airlines, AT&T, and Southwest airlines.

The Democrats will be happy to become the recipient party of those donations.

Oh boy Heritage Action, now that's a credible source.

The legislature can negate the voter certification of the Secretary of State and the Board of election, that is not a myth. Do you see a problem with politicians deciding the vote in light of the last election.

The GOP was losing ground, and unwilling to improve candidates to attract more votes.

this is what the law says > ”And under the new law, if a majority of the five-member board decides that a county's elections officials have been doing their job poorly, the board can suspend those officials and replace them with one person the board has hand-picked to serve as a temporary superintendent, with the same powers the officials had.
The new law allows the state board to sideline elections officials in up to four counties at a time. A majority of the board would have to decide that the officials demonstrated ”nonfeasance, malfeasance, or gross negligence” in at least two elections over a two-year period, or that the county officials committed at least three violations of election law or board regulations in the last two general election cycles and had not ”sufficiently remedied” these violations.”

"The secretary of state will no longer chair the State Election Board, becoming instead a non-voting ex-officio member. The new chair would be nonpartisan but appointed by a majority of the state House and Senate. The chair would not be allowed to have been a candidate, participate in a political party organization or campaign or made campaign contributions for two years prior to being appointed.

The law also says the governor should appoint someone if the position becomes vacant when lawmakers are not in session.

Other changes to the State Election Board's powers would give the board — and by extension, the legislature — more power to intervene in county elections boards that are deemed underperforming. In addition to the legislature-appointed chair, the five-member board is made up of one member appointed by the House, one appointed by the Senate and one each picked by the Democratic and Republican state parties.

The State Election Board, county commissions or a certain number of state House and Senate members that represent a county could request an independent group to conduct a performance review of their appointed elections board or probate judge that supervises elections, defined in Georgia law as the "superintendent." SB 202 would allow the State Election Board to suspend the multi-person elections board or probate judge and replace them with a single individual for at least nine months."

So why did that need fixing in 2020, define "poorly" seems to be rather subjective.

Why wasn't this glaring deficiency addressed before the 2020 election rather than after. Please tell us about the history of all those "poorly performing" election official prior to 2020, must have been really bad in Georgia or maybe they just lost the senate and the presidential election.
