And, inevitably, the usual far-left apologists trot out the usual excuses and deflections, without regard for the number of times they have been debunked already.

Just about any Gun owner is already well supplied and armed.

State concealed handgun laws override local law. They would never see the handgun in your car or well concealed.

Is this law going to stop the Criminals from arming themselves?

What's up with the labels and fake accusations. Seems childish.

I don't have any excuses for Trump's mayor. He did what he did, and that's that. I didn't say I support it.

Why do you support Trump's mayor? You some kind of commie?

Sensible ones are.

But with the grotesque failure of police forces all over the country to safeguard the population aganst the criminals and terrorists burning and looting the cities, quite a few (former?) liberals are newly buying guns and ammo. And lots more have it on their schedules.

"A conservative is a liberal who just got mugged (or looted.)"

And the U.S. Constitution overrides them all. Something the mayor of West Palm Beach, FL is apparently unaware. Or maybe he just feels it's unimportant.

I said it in another thread... once you start trying to take away people's First Amendment rights (breaking up the peaceful demonstration, not the riots), Second Amendment rights (and all the others) aren't too far behind.

The potus is probably 100% behind it - as its his corner of paradise-- probably trying to keep any guns from the area where he and buds hang out... This is a very elite piece of property and have their own security force. This ordinance is for the rest of the armed population of us peons not to give us any ammo power... its for protection not defense...lol They get so riled up soon as they hear NO--guns-

Not only did Trump pick that very town as his new residence, but he (and his apologists) is/are hell bent on invoking Insurrection Act. What do you think would happen to gun sales then?

Yes, but apparently the State law allows things like this on temporary bases.

For example: We have curfew here is Broward county for the rest of the week, although I am sure State law allows people to be outside any time of the day.

Anyone who supports Trump invoking insurrection act, must also support such measures even at federal level.

From the OP link:
Quote:
Mayor Keith James on May 31 issued his declaration halting legal firearms sales in the city of 100,000 along South Florida’s Atlantic Coast. Citing state law, the move not only blocks gun and ammo sales but also the possession in a public place of a firearm by any person, except for police and military.
