Sure. There was guy who made an account on CityData recently to say "Hey, I'm black and racism doesn't exist". I can't say I am at all persuaded by that alleged black guy.
Drew should have been smarter about the situation, he's the leader of the team, How would he expect them to react by saying that? High Five's, a pat on the back?

Brees explained why he would be standing for the anthem and the flag pretty clearly and respectfully. I guess that doesn’t work with people who aren’t smart enough to understand it.
The problem is not his talent but the turmoil he would create in the locker room. Look at the fiasco he created at his fairly recent "workout".
NFL usually will overlook those things for talent. See Jeff George. I don't think it was locker room as much as marketing. Owners did not want that spotlight. They did not want to alienate a potion of their fan base. And from a business sense I do understand that.

So he's not allowed to have an opinion? An opinion that supports his own country? Only the BLM types can have an opinion?
What is it with these people? They can’t take a little dissenting opinion?
Like one poster said "timing is everything", Its like going to a funeral of someone who died of a drug overdose and you say out loud that they shouldn't have done drugs. Its a true statement but it shouldnt have been said at that time.
Sure, Drew Brees has the right to say anything, he has the right to burn a cross at his home if he wants to, and everyone else, including his team, has the right to tell him what they think of him for it. Freedom of speech goes BOTH WAYS - it's not just for Republicans, and it's not just for white people.
Not according to Malcolm Jenkins it doesn’t.
