He apologized for the part he forgot to acknowledge, not for his stance on the flag.

Good on him. I believe he was sincere (and I'm not a fan).

He has acknowledged it many times and even kneeled in solidarity.

He apologised because he was forced to.

I wish he hadn’t apologized but he IS a very good and decent guy and I think he was truly sorry that his comments upset some of his teammates and wanted to do what he thought was the right thing.

There’s not a better human being in the NFL than Brees and every single person who criticized him could only dream of being the caliber of person he is.

Don't know if this has been previously mentioned, but he had to put out a second apology (this time a video) because the first one wasn't considered good enough.

And speaking a different narrative or criticizing what you find as disrespectful will have your very livelihood threatened.

Reading is not a big thing among the people he offended. They are more a video bunch.

Brees' biggest problem was he never understood why Kap took a knee in the first place. Whatever problems he faces is predicated on that. Stupid is as stupid does.

Kap took a knee to become a PAID Political Activist and Extortionist as he knew he wasn't good enough for the NFL. He extorted a big pay off from the NFL and got a big contract from Nike. Mission accomplished. It was all about Money and GREED.

Oppression? Did brees get kicked out of the nfl like kap?

Brees was not forced to apologize. He chose to. It’s up to you to decide is he a- sincere or b- gutless
