Drew Brees says something completely reasonable.

Yep, he is a racist.

Now the true test of the man. Will he back down and kneel for the racist bullies?

Love Drew Brees. My kids go to the same high school he went to. He’s a local hero and it’s well deserved.

Let the left continue to behave like fascists. Brees is worth north of $100 million. Threats to boycott or end his career won't hurt him a bit.

I'll only be disappointed in Brees if he takes back his heartfelt and correct statement.

Read the article. Where did anyone call him a racist?

No one has to literally call him one, they’ll just think it of him. But you knew that, didn’t you?

You may note the lack of quotation marks in my comments.

You can play pretend if you like. If you want quotes of people brave enough to actually use the word racist, take a look around.

Listening to others and tolerating the viewpoints of others is seemingly a one way street.

He didn't even say anything racial.

The idea to kneel during the anthem was given by a veteran. Spare the outrage, as though many people who kneel don’t also have family who fought for this nation. Not only that but many of their parents and grandparents fought for this nation only to be spit on and denied benefits when they returned home.

Just saw a couple of NFL players talk about this. They are disappointed that this has come out right now but they aren't surprised and they still say they like the guy. I'm sorry I didn't note the name of the guys. Both were Black and they weren't outraged, disgusted, just disappointed.

So -- they aren't surprised about his comments which means they kind of knew where Brees stands.

I just replied to you & realized you weren't calling him a racist but making a point that people will think he is. Sorry if you read my rant

It is disappointing that he gives a reason why & he feels a certain way so he's racist. He's probably done more for the black community than most black people yet that won't matter.

I've always said that if you're white you do not know what it's like to be black so respect black peoples opinion if they feel that kneeling is something that means something to them. But at the same time don't judge somebody just because they are against it. Many mothers & fathers have lost their son or daughter to a war & that anthem might mean so much to them.

Players might not think it's a big deal to some people but who are they to judge? You don't want people to judge you but you're okay with judging them? Why is it always about you?

Kaep could have did a lot more if he had stood for the anthem & then kneeled when it was over for a certain amount of time. He'd probably still gotten a lot of attention & he would probably get a lot of support from people who hate what he did.
