George Floyd landed 5 years behind bars in 2009 for assault and battery. He plead guilty to entering a woman's home, pointing a gun at her stomach and searching the home for drugs and money. He was sentenced to 8 months in jail in 2002 and 10 months in jail in 2005 for possessing cocaine. He was jailed for theft in 1998.
Why do you think the media doesn't mention this?
In a word: No. It doesn't matter.
No matter what crimes he committed, the police are never entitled to carelessly murder people.
No matter what crimes he committed, the police are never entitled to carelessly murder people.
Besides, no matter what the cops know the person in custody was guilty of in the past, or even if they saw the guy commit a murder with the cop's own eyes. Once the person is in custody, they are subdued, and they are cuffed, then cops do not torture them, harm them, or jam their knee in their neck. The cop puts the captive in the squad car, end of story.
Wonder how the woman who was pregnant and experienced him threatening to kill her and her unborn child by aiming his loaded gun at her stomach and at her unborn child feels about it. All lives matter.

Be careful with all that. If actually a home invasion by 5 guys in Texas none of them would have been released yet.
What likely went on was some drug dealer argument which Floyd was involved in. So yes he was bad. But no not a home invader.
And again he spent some years in MN with no trouble with the police.
So it appears he was a guy who had a bad stretch in the past but had turned over a better leaf...
If that woman was a drug dealer or involved in criminal activity did she deserve to have a gun held to her pregnant belly?
Exactly what do you see as the difference between her belly and her chest?
So it would have been better if he put the gun against her chest?
From the government response it would appear these were drug dealer interactions. So not exactly the worst of crimes.
