People can spend their money as they please. You’re simply making assumptions about others people’s motives. They’re likely using the quickest way to obtain the information.
And when the looters come, they won’t stop to ask if it’s a black business.
Believe it or not, it’s possible for people to support black businesses without advertising their intentions to the world.
Now if you’re ok with reverse racism, race pandering, empty gestures to imply we blacks need special treatment to prosper, and are seeking attention then have at it. It’s a free country.
It is, but it is an era of hashtag activism. As long as they do it - post whatever they want. And hopefully someone who didn't think of that starts doing it too.
If the product or service is good, I'll patronize. For years I would regularly visit a barbecue joint owned by a black couple, two really hard working people. For years they worked a shift at a factory then worked six to eight hours more at their take-out place, later opening a proper restaurant.
Spend your money where you want, but does the actual product matter, the price, the convenience, etc. or is it all about race? Seems irrational, just like the "buy american" types
Hard to find considering most of the looters were white in the videos I saw.
Almost all of the looters were black in the videos I saw. Just like in other riots.
Besides, as long as I’m planning to patronize businesses destroyed by scumbug looters - and said I would do so without first checking the skin color of the owners - does it matter? Will you be supporting white businesses, too, or going out of your way to patronize black-owned businesses?
IOW, you need a new pair of sunglasses, and there are two sunglasses stores in your neighborhood. Prices and quality are the same. One is owned by a black couple, and was untouched during the riots. The other is owned by a white couple, and was destroyed during the riots and has finally reopened. Which store do you go to?
This is true of course, there is just plain old racism.
Are you a believer of the recent redefining of the word to conclude black people can't be racist?
