How can anyone see this and not see how out of control the problem of police brutality is?
The eyes of the entire world are on them, they know everyone is watching, but they can’t stop.

The 2 officers were suspended.

You dont shove elderly people like that. If they saw him as a threat at all, he is easily detained without opening yourself to the liability of him cracking his head open.

Was it a push or a stiff wind?

it wasn't that hard of a push, but they should never have ignored him after he fell the way he did.

You know the difference between myself and that old man, I would never think to walk up and engage a line of police officers attempting to control a large crowd, clearing an area.

This is my city and I agree that they shouldn't have pushed him - but he did receive immediate medical treatment from another sheriff that was behind those officers. I'm not condoning this but these officers are on their last legs after working 16 hour shifts since last week and it will not take much to push any of them over the line. Protesters just don't get it - when they tell you to move back - do not approach them and argue.

On the other hand - each and every one of us should walk a week in their shoes and see just how fed up we get - but none of us do - we just sit on our butts and complain about it.

i agree. in the very near future i predict a severe shortage of cops, particularly in big cities.

no one is going to want to sign up for that *****, no matter how good the benefits package is.

What did the guy expect? When a line of cops in riot gear are marching towards you, you move. You do not try to grab them or stop them. The same goes if a line of soldiers or protesters is coming towards you. Get out of the way.

I would call it more of a nudge than a push and he tripped over himself. He was a bit old to be on the front line of the "battle" so next time buddy step aside and watch from the sidelines.

Oh please. The old guy refused a direct order from riot police and was reaching for the cops belt or weapon. The cops pushed him back out of reach of his equipment belt and the old guy tripped over his own feet.
At his age, to go into a riot area, how stupid do you have to be?

Anyone else think the video looks kinda fake?
The guy gently falls to the ground, but the video conveniently cuts out right before he hits the ground, and then the video cuts back and shows blood gushing from his ear. Huh!?
