Are we already in a low grade insurgency, but we just haven't realized it yet?
I wouldn't call it a civil war as there are no formal sides or organization, as of yet. But you get ONE charasmatic leader, and an organized cadre, and we could potentially see regime change. It happened to the USSR in a matter of months. From the Bundy ranch debacle of federal overreach, to the ongoing brutal events of today, we are seeing recurring actions of rebellion against police state tyranny and mismanagement at every turn.
The more the police state oppresses the People, the more unrest you will see. The militarized police atrocities need to stop. We are seeing the effects of armed paramilitary police action against an unarmed population on the streets of every major city. You can't keep gassing and busting the heads of Americans without igniting an unrepressable rage in the population. It is only a matter of time before the protesters take up arms, unless reconcilliation or massive oppression intervenes. And the regime seems intent on sending military troops against civilians.
Right now the armed citizenry is mostly on the side of law and order, and defending the weak against predators - looters at the moment - because the police won't do their jobs to protect lives and property, citing BS court rulings that they aren't required to. While the citizenry is denied the right of self defense against mauraders by the sae courts.
The police have become a standing army, "law enforcement," not peace officers, or public servants. If the police aren't here to "protect and serve" then they are only here to repress the public at the behest of the plutocrats and oligarchs. Let's face it, street cops mostly spend their day babysitting drug addicts and domestic violence, with a few robbers or lost kids here and there. But if the paramilitary forces, considerable in number, continue committing excesses, many armed citizens may find themselves forced by morals and circumstance to ally against the police state they currently support. Others will embrace it, and history will unfold and decide who is correct.
The enemies of liberty (mostly democrats) who clamor for gun control need to shut up. They are wrong. The right is getting pretty tired of the gun grabbers constantly attacking peaceful patriotic American gun owners with one repressive, draconian law after another. If this doesn't stop congress is likely to see a backlash that could have dire consequences. We are seeing the early beginnings of this with large, but so far peacefull demonstrations by lawfully armed citizens in VA, AZ and other states. And you notice the difference in police response, when the protesters can shoot back they don't get bashed by batons.
The left is going to figure this out too, and probably pdq. Politics makes strange bedfellows. The III%ers may find themselves next to Antifa - all fighting for freedom from tyranny and for justice for all.
The more the police crack down the more independent actions against infrastructure and institutions like Amazon or maufacturing you will see. The rioting is simply self serving idiots letting off steam and running amock. With a few organized gangs hitting gun and other high value targets. REAL revolutionaries attack police, their stations, government buildings, military bases, etc. We are seeing more and more of this. Still isolated instances, but look at other countries, attacks are sporadic.
We, as a nation, are at a crossroads. We'd better figure this out or we might not have a nation at all.

They wont care who they engage. There is militia out there right now, and they're the good guys, but that wont matter to regulars. They'll have orders to take out anyone who looks like they might be fleabags.
If they start zapping militia bad things will happen. Keep the regulars out of it. Let militia work with the NG and the cops. Otherwise an insurgency is what might likely happen.

In my opinion you have conducted a wonderful and in depth study on Revolution.
However...Consider the following frame of thought.
If the latest rioting by protesters were to be replaced by words and these words then placed into a
book consisting of 1,000 pages representing the American population it would only take up 1/2 of one page.
That is an insufficient case for the Falling of any Empire. Our Country is far from entering the Crash and Burn
point of no return..........on the contrary, America will come out of this more powerful than ever before.................
All one needs to do is just sit back and enjoy the show. Trump 2020...

Sure dude, the only people claiming they don't believe in our constitution, as it was made by old white men, are Democrats, and their most recent converts, Socialists, Communists, and of course the current batch of Anarchists who are currently Rioting and Looting.
