But what did he do when he was faced with a peaceful protest at a football game?

This is why the right-wing has no credibility. Years of belittling and criticizing an important issue has left them with no standing.

.
Because of one person walking out of a game. This is why you have no credibility. Granted we knew that from reading your posts and supporting the party of Jim Crow.

Mattis and other military leaders have been clear that Trump's plan of using the U.S. military to "dominate" U.S. citizens crosses the line. Yesterday, the Pentagon disarmed the federalized National Guard troops in Washington and sent all the regular troops back to their home bases.

BTW, the National Guard troops in Washington appear all to have been sent by Republican governors: Utah, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Maryland, and Florida.

But regardless, what can they and Barr's collection of prison guards, etc. do to stop this?

There is no military solution to this problem.

Pence should have knelt down with Kaepernick.

Jesus would have.
Yep, retired Marine and Army generals and former Trump cabinet members Jim Mattis and John Kelly have spoken out against Trump forcefully, and even active Sec. of Defense Mark Esper has said that he doesn't support Trump's push to use the Insurrection Act to use regular military against our citizens, and has sent the active duty guard home from DC and disarmed the others in DC.

They are sending a very clear signal that they don't want the American military to be used by Donald Trump as a tool of repression against the American people. That happens in tin-pot dictatorships, not the USA.
