Conservative: being forced to wear a mask to stop the spread of a nationwide pandemic.
Liberal: being beaten and tear gased by the police during peaceful protests. Having the president threaten to illegal use the military on it's own citizens.
Fascism is a right wing ideology, pure and simple. Always has been, always will be. However, those on the right know this but are uncomfortable with that label being associated with them. So, true to their form, what do they do? They try with all their little hearts to pin it on the left. The funny part is they are absolutely certain that no one see through their little game.
Has anyone here ever looked up the definition of fascism?
According to Wikipedia "Fascism is a form of government that is a type of one-party dictatorship. They work for a totalitarian one-party state. This aim is to prepare the nation for armed conflict, and to respond to economic difficulties. Fascism puts nation and often race above the individual."
Dictionary.com: "a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism."
Can you tell me what is wrong in opposing such a form of government? Because I gotta tell you, fascism doesn't sound like the form of government I want for our country.
Like forcing businesses to close and telling people who want to go to church that they can't go to church? That sounds like facism to me.
Would you like me to do the same for Barack Obama and Bill Clinton? I can easily get 12 out of 12 for both, even though I don't actually believe either man was especially fascistic. But you don't have to look any further than Barack Obama to score 12 out of 12 on that list without breaking a sweat.
What you just did is take a list and then slam a bunch of square pegs through round holes. When it comes to partisan politics, anyone can do it. What tends to happen is that we tend to view the "other team" as inherently evil with nothing but evil motivations. We completely dehumanize them. We strip away what is and fill it in with what we want to believe so we can hate the people on the other team. I've seen both sides doing it for years and it's led me to one simple realization ...
Partisan politics makes you stupid.
Nothing has changed in decades. There still isn't a dime's worth of difference between Democrats and Republicans. Why be so wrong and so foolish to vote for either party expecting something finally really different for the country? It's defines insantiy to keep doing so. Vote 3rd party in November.
Well dang, I always thought you lived in the US. Consider applying for immigration here because we don't have facism or communism despite what partisans are irrationally trying to constantly claim.
I do live in the U.S. and don't like the direction I see us going in.

That's the actions of a country hit by a pandemic. States aren't just doing that because they want to control you, despite what some people think. Things are starting to open back up. If it were truly fascist, things would not be opening back up.
BTW, our church and many others, had and are still having online services. But I think some are loosening their restrictions now.
A “fascist” is anyone who is further to the right than I am. A “socialist” is anyone who is further to the left than I am.
It’s sort of like when I am driving on the freeway: anyone driving slower than me is a “moron”, and anyone driving faster than me is an “idiot.”
