The proposal is for some of the police funding to be redirected to services to help people. Cops aren’t qualified to deal with mentally ill people, etc.

If Minneapolis is going to disband the police, they will be out of those jobs anyways and Minneapolis will apparently be replacing them with social workers, which the police can't apply for anyways.

This seems pretty straight forward. Disband the police, and the wealthier neighborhoods will fence the area and hire private police forces. The low income neighborhoods will come to resemble that 1981 movie with Michael Douglas called “Escape from New York.” Wokeness has consequences.

They should declare they won't pursue vigilante justice. The problem will be solved over night.

That was Kurt Russell. Not Michael Douglass. And without any police at all those wealthy areas wouldn't be wealthy for long. And mercs cost a lot of money.

#1 They can start looking to more reasonable communities for job openings before other liberal cities cut funds and have police layoffs or disband their entire police force as well. You want to be the first unemployed cops so you can find a job easier before competing against other laid off cops.

They should but the bigger cities have more money to throw towards police budgets, small conservative towns have low pay.

#2 Apparently giving the mob what they want will reign down an era of inner city peace and save lives.

The police departments have allegedly gone through diversity training and other bullship training and yet they are still cracking skulls, even now they are doing it with the whole world watching.

Do the same thing that happens when you change jobs, they can either take the cash payout or roll it over into an IRA.

I’m afraid they are going to do a national police strike. Imagine that.

As a former social worker no they won’t carry guns. Some states pair up a social worker with a cop for situations where a mental health person is needed to de-escalate a situation.
