And not one of them has come forward to defend Trump’s actions.
Fortunately Trump has very little support among the armed forces other than what is due him as commander in chief. So when he is voted out in November, and refuses to step down claiming "rigged election" or some such nonesuch, and turns to the military to keep him in power, they'll look at him and laugh.

The generals are mad that Trump won't commit more of their men to the neo-liberal project, which sees American soldiers dying around the world in military adventurism.
Fact is: Trump has kept us OUT of entanglements as much as possible, and hasn't rained thousands of bombs via drone like Obama the Nobel Peace Prize Winner.
He is the LEAST war mongering president in the last 30 years.
BTW: Colin Powell lied to the UN to justify a war in Iraq that killed thousands of Americans and countless other Arabs, and led to destabilization of that powder keg region.
Has there ever been such a public condemnation of a sitting President from so many former military leaders? General John Allen , USMC (ret.):
“The slide of the United States into illiberalism may well have begun on 1 June 2020. Remember the date. It may well signal the beginning of the end of the American experiment,”
In all fairness..................If social media and more transparency was available during the presidency of James Buchanan,Andrew Johnson,Franklin Pierce,Warren G.Harding,William H. Harrison,John Tyler, Herbert Hoover ,Chester A.Arthur and Zachary Taylor this post question would have made for interesting dialogue.
Trump is misusing the military for his own political benefit.
President Trump has attempted to politicize the U.S. military by intervening inappropriately in military justice cases and by using military personnel and sites as props for political speeches. Even if Gen. Milley was misled as to the nature of the event [Trump's photo op at St. John's Episcopal Church] as Secretary Esper claims he was, he should have publicly distanced himself from the event immediately afterward. http://www.dailypress.com/virginiaga...aai-story.html
