if they don't want cops....fine.....have them sign up...and if and when they need to call the cops...the cops won't show

simple solution
I would be OK with that, but it has to work both ways, police cannot come bother me for any reason either.

But what should they do if you are in the act of harming someone who didn’t sign up?

You can thank your Congress-critters for that.

Police don't get federal funding to reduce, prevent or investigate property crimes.

I don't know about where you live, but in Cincinnati police won't even come to your home. You can't even talk to police. It's an automated phone thing and then nothing happens very, very slowly.

Side step the middle man and call the corner directly ?
Side-step it all and call Ed's Funeral Home.

What is really pathetic is that the clueless voters elected this asshat .
What is in the water up in Minnesota?
Mein Gott' look at the mayor of Minneapolis, the governor, the attorney general, etc. These morons couldn't manage the night shift at a convenience store, yet the numbskull electorate puts them in office.
