It didn't take long before the left started tearing itself apart again. The far-left segment of the political left is trying to force the moderate democrats down a dystopian rabbit hole. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/pol...olice-n1227671
I think we're going to see even more of this in-fighting over the next couple months.
The big question is... Will the moderate democrats surrender to the far-left or will they stand firm?

Black Lives Matter is so super-wonderful that the DC mayor painted their name on a street that she renamed in their honor. So if they are in conflict with Democratic leaders, the only possible conclusion that can be drawn is that Democratic leaders are racist.
Choke on the "R" word, Democrats. You own this whole sordid mess. I'll be off to the side, popcorn in hand, enjoying every minute of this intramural cat fight.

Big Bird de Blasio is going to rename a street in each of the five boroughs.
Great idea! Five streets in the same city with the same name.
Di Blasio is thinking small. If he really wants to make a splash, and avoid the issue about separate streets with the same name that you mentioned, he should rename I-278. This one single expressway serves all five boroughs (technically speaking; it hits Randalls and Ward Islands, which are technically a part of Manhattan), so it already covers the entire city. Goodbye, Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, Staten Island Expressway, Bruckner Expressway, etc. Say hello to the Black Lives Matter Expressway.
Honestly, I-278 is a perfect metaphor for the effects of the Black Lives Matter movement on the cities that it infects. Much of the highway is built on elevated stilts, so it's an oppressive, overbearing presence in the neighborhoods through which it passes. And the roadway itself is in such horrible condition that you risk your car just by driving on it. What could be more fitting?
This type of stuff is going to drive resentment toward blacks and increase racism.
