You don't understand the "movement" underway, George Floyd only ignited the powder keg of 400 years of oppression.
Learn your history. Look at the New Orleans and Memphis riots during Reconstruction, the 'police' at the time were former slavers, in fact, the police initially became what they are today by starting out as fugitive slave patrols. All these "freed" blacks were terrorized for centuries by the "police".
Statistics show a marked increase in sentencing and arrests of black versus white for the same offenses.

Oh, interesting - I didn't realize that Trump's people had gone to work to discredit Floyd. I wonder if the people saying he was on drugs are the same people who pretended that he died from pre-existing conditions.

The majority of Jews in America cast their lot with Democrats a very long time ago because the religious Right was pretty anti-Semitic. Old habits die hard. Blacks and Jews alike would probably be better served switching to Republican or Libertarian or pretty much anything to the Right of the Democrats at this point. The Far Left is rife with Anti-Semitism. Hatred for Jews on Progressive-dominated campuses is well known and rampant. It will be interesting to see how stubbornly Democrat the Jews will remain over time in the face of so much growing hatred for them in the party.

the disconnect - for white people at least - seems to be how 3 deaths (10 last year) that *should* have been avoided are more important than 7,000 deaths (black homicides annually; about 90% at the hands of blacks) that we need to find a way to reduce.
If we eliminated ALL 250 deaths of blacks (includes those armed) at the hands of police, that would still be less than a 20% reduction in black-on-black homicide. Less than the annual total just in Chicago.
Yes, we want to eliminate all deaths of unarmed people at the hands of police, understanding you'll never be at zero, but there is a mechanism in place to convict bad cops; and maybe that mechanism needs to be strengthened.
Then focus on reforming the police. Not murdering innocent people and destroying other people’s lives with “protests “
Totally over the top……to white people…….but we have not suffered the same injustices, so who are we to judge? We've controlled the narrative, we've had our moment, our moment is every day, so when one man's death actually changes public opinion, something that rarely has ever happened, and perhaps not on this scale since 1968, who are we to say…….over the top?
It may be to us, but we don't feel what black people feel, the same pain, the same injustice, and the same anger.

I've wanted to rep all your posts today, but IDK about this one. Progressive dominated campuses are simultaneously over represented by Jewish professors AND students: University of Michigan, George Washington University, NYU, Barnard/Columbia, and Yale, to name a few.
