It looks to me that a business made a decision that it was not aligned with their values and/or that it was no longer financially beneficial to broadcast the show.
Are you claiming that someone forced them to do that, or that the government somehow forced it?

Why would this happen unless it was some type of warped virtue signaling rubbish.
Cops has been on the air for probably two decades, and while people get to see a edited version of what cops experience, you cannot get more realistic of the insanity they deal with on a daily basis.
Like most boys growing up you want to be a cop, paramedic, astronaut, etc., so shows like Hawaii 5-0, Emergency or other shows have a romanticized version of various professions.
However watching, cops while entertaining, made me thankful for not choosing being a street cop as a profession.
Many a criminal knows they can get away with all sorts of stuff they couldn't in the past. Spits in a cops face, you were likely going to be headed to the hospital 20 years ago or so. Now days the anti-cop leftists want cops to take it, and say "thank you, may I have another".
The criminals actually take advantage of knowing they can do XYZ with retribution, which makes policing that much more difficult.
The leftists who run Hollywood and the TV stations allow all sorts of vile rubbish on the air, but they give into the mob who don't like to see police portrayed in a manner that shows what they must deal with on a daily basis.
Liberals want it canceled because it shows you the crap and trash cops really have to deal with. Not the filtered version with lies the media give to you.

That's true about a lot in current times. The media and entertainment industry will take the place of the show and only show crafted versions that fit their rhetoric, agenda and narrative.
