You think universities are the most "progressive" place...but if you go to the library, you see students of the same "color" usually sit together.
That is because on too many campuses, they don't feel welcome by much of the larger campus community. I've seen this, while a student, 30 years ago. Sad to see it still happens, again....
I can look out my window and see two SE Asian families in my neighborhood. You couldn’t ask for better neighbors. Friday night we sat out and had a few drinks and listened to one family play with their children. It was so nice. They are such nice family people.
They are going to take over so quietly you’ll never know it happened. Their children raise the academic bar at every school, the parents embrace capitalism and entrepreneurship as well as any immigrant has every done so.
The white man did not stand in their way at all. It’s over, they are a fabulous success.
One of the reasons is because the banking industry and realtors created this myth about home value. It was so they could gouge white people with higher prices. Recently young whites have discovered that a nice old four bedroom craftsman style home is half price in the black part of town.

What neighborhoods and schools that are mostly minorities but have much higher than average achievement and test scores? I can name quite a few in California that are extremely competitive where whites make up less than half the population.
