One of my kids got pulled over last week. License and registration was instantly given to him. Seems they had a call about a potential pervert going to get some girls, weird call apparently, cop said he was probably drunk. My kid's car matched the potential suspect's car, however my kid was a female, not male. After returning to her car he had to ask for insurance because it wasn't in the system, no problem she provided it. Well, she could have raised a stink because she could have been late to work, but she wasn't and sometimes stuff happens. She told him to be careful and he told her to be careful because he had never seen so much crazy stuff going on. A hassle, but such is life.
So he was parked on a residential street facing the wrong way. Officer told him he he couldn't park like that. Why did the officer even bother asking for a license? It's illegal parking, give the guy a ticket, and move on.
The police had to let this citizen know what happens when you don’t bend the knee and lick the boot. He could’ve used his own discretion and let him off with a warning but that wasn’t good enough for small pp police.

They ask for license here to record your information and driver's license number on the report.

He probably WAS going to get a warning. He committed a traffic violation and refused to give his license 11 times and then became a mouthy idiot.
When you are in the process of committing a traffic violation and a cop asks for your license you give it. Or YOU are escalating matters.

Another black man looking to be a hero by resisting the system. This seems to be the real problem!
And once again, if the person had simply cooperated with the police, things would have been over in minutes. But nooooo, they had to escalate the situation by arguing with the officer. The driver should be fired.
It seems this ALWAYS is the case which escalates the police response .
