Because they folded and kissed the posterior of the Soros funded hate group BLM?? Reminds me of the Dixie Chicks and how they committed career suicide and then said they were singled out was because they were women. They were too stupid or arrongant to figure that's what happens when you flip the finger to 80% of their fan base. We'll see of Lady Antebellum survives this move.
Why? It just means before war. I don't understand why people get their panties in a wad over this stuff.
The two words most commonly associated with democrats in any headline is outraged and demand. If they don't have anything to be outraged about or to make demands about, they just make something up.
So people have no self discipline to not take it the wrong way in order to be PURPOSELY OFFENDED? The band clearly does not mean anything racist by it. THAT is the context in which it should be viewed. No?
If you are at all honest, you will acknowledge that FACT.
You are perfectly well aware of how the Lost Cause romanticists use the word antebellum to describe their pretty world, where Gallantry took its last bow in the land of Cavaliers and Cotton Fields.
Don't be deliberately obtuse (well, I assume deliberately) and pretend that "it just means before war".
The band took steps to avoid being associated with that, and good on them.
Well considering democrats are the party of slavery, KKK, and Jim Crow, it’s funny to see liberals now kneejerk reacting to destroying their own part of history.

The first Klan flourished in the Southern United States in the late 1860s during Reconstruction, then died out by the early 1870s. It sought to overthrow the Republican state governments in the South, especially by using violence against African-American leaders.

I guess you missed my point. Maybe purposely or not??? The "Context" is that the band meant nothing racist nor pro slavery by choosing that name and that is how people should construe it. To get all hot and bothered by the word "Antebellum" is beyond juvenile. It is just people looking for another excuse to be offended and with the "LOOK AT ME" culture Social Media has created, just another way to Virtue Signal.
