2030 Oscar Winner: "Medieval Tolerance"

A Glorious Epic where the main character named "Tolerance" is an African Non-Gender-Conforming Muslim monarch of England in the 1300s struggling to maintain "their" grip on the crown in the face of evil conservative-white-supremacist-one-percenters that are trying to bring down "they's" autonomous zones created for the peasants.

Well 24 million people watched the oscars and it’s a 42 billion dollar business globally so some people somewhere must think it’s relevant at least from an economic perspective.
There’s a good argument that movies do influence how people feel and have a rather large impact on the world.
What do you do for a living and how big is your business? If it’s commercial airlines - I’m guessing with your pilot handle- than it’s not even a 1 billion dollar business.

That's the lowest ever, and going down further every year.

Well it's irrelevant to me, but I get your point. They are doing themselves no favors by going down this path, neither artistically, nor for long term entertainment value.

wrong angle for solving the problem. Make sure there are a wide array of voices at every part of the production side from writers to producers to actors to promotors to staffers. If that part gets worked on, there will be a wider variety of films. It isn't about the trophy, it is about getting the opportunity to make/influence the product.

Donald Trump cares about the Oscars.

So much that he attended. Many times

Here's a photo of him in Hollywood, at the 2011 Oscar Party.
