What do you do for a living? How many people follow you on Instagram and Twitter. Are you really so much more relevant?

How many people follow your industry’s events? A lot more than 24 million?

Some people care. More than a couple I think.

Excerpt: Films will have to meet diversity requirements to be eligible for Oscars
Response: I find myself watching more cartoons than ever before...

Good thing Titanic came out before the "diversity" nonsense, or else it wouldn't have won all the Oscars that it did. Darn ship was filled with nothing but white people as far as the eye could see. No wonder it sank.

Well, its not really about who they are, or how wealthy they are...its really about HOW MANY citizens listen to what they say, celebs have HUGE influence over large numbers of the population...that is why people listen to what they say.

Think if it another way, if you or I went on tv to support come cause...how many people would listen to us or be influenced by our opinion? Hardly anyone! But if Tom Cruise goes on tv to give his opinion of something...MILLIONS of people listen.

Oscar viewership has been dropping over the years, a lot of people don't give a rip anymore. You start putting this crap on it and people will end up tuning out even more

We want good movies, most people don't have a racial profile checklist.

Good is good, race makeup doesn't have any bearing on this sort of thing. It's the talent that matters to people.
