A student senator at Washington University in St. Louis is being accused of removing American flags from a 9/11 memorial display and throwing them in the trash.

In a video posted by Young Americans for Freedom, the student can be seen gathering small American flags into bags and attempting to carry them away. A total of 2,977 flags were placed on the lawn representing each murdered 9/11 victim.

Late Saturday, Washington University officials condemned the removal of the flags but declined to say whether the student would be disciplined, according to Student Life, the university's student newspaper. The paper identified the student as Fadel Alkilani, vice president of finance for the student union.
What discipline, if any, should he face.

Well, a lot of people have been empowered in recent years by leniency of punishment as well as this sort of echo chamber of radicalism.

We're seeing some stepping way over the lines from which officials will turn a blind eye and facing major major problems as a result (like the 2 ANTIFA gals busted for trying to cause train accidents).

This guy is *fudged*.

School cannot speak on student discipline publically, so we'll have to wait and see but that's probably the least of his worries at this point.

Inappropriate behavior for sure.

Flag memorials like that are all over the place --- both conservative and liberals sponsor them.

It was uncalled for behavior.

If he wanted to make his point about the US wars and islamaphobia he could have done so with a separate display without taking down the 9-11 memorial.
