You're a sympathizer and will defend their "festival". So when does this "festival" end and they all go back home ?

Storefronts marred with graffiti is not a "mural". There has to be consent and there was none.

Many businesses have chosen to remain closed because it is not feasible for them to reopen under the guidelines. Do you feel they should be forced to reopen?

I was able to pick up a book from Elliott Bay that I had ordered, it was brought outside to me. I then stopped to pick up some General Porpoise doughnuts (mmmm.) But my salon is still closed, and I'm not going be casually shopping in a knick-knack or consumer goods shop where many purchases are dependent on in-person browsing.

Also, it's not like Gov. Inslee issues an order and businesses are immediately ready to draft their plan and staff a store within 24 hours.

Those guidelines about capacity were in almost all states as they reopened.
Stores only used one door for entry and one door for exit.
Employees were at the entrance door doing counts.

News reports say businesses closed because of the threat of riots and looting.
A lot of the boarded up stores are that way because they have no glass due to the rioters.

https://q13fox.com/2020/06/01/busine...nned-protests/
The city of Kirkland has asked all business owners to close, the Alderwood Mall and surrounding roads are closed, and the downtown courthouse has shuttered ahead of potential protests this afternoon and tonight.

https://www.seattletimes.com/busines...ing-and-chaos/
But there was also anger that city and police officials had allowed the rioting to spiral out of control, as well as fear the weekend’s destruction could make recovery even more difficult for businesses already wounded by the pandemic shutdown.

“This isn’t going to make that any easier,” said Jon Scholes, CEO of the Downtown Seattle Association, who described the destruction, which ranged from smashed windows to the torching of vehicles to widespread looting, as worse than what the city saw during the 1999 WTO riots. “It’s something we’ve just never seen in downtown Seattle.”

A report from beginning of May -

Across Seattle, in neighborhoods like Pioneer Square, Capitol Hill, Ballard and Belltown, colorful murals are appearing on boarded up restaurants and businesses.

There was a single night of looting in Seattle (downtown, not Capitol Hill) and the arsonist who torched police vehicles has been arrested and is a woman from Tacoma.

I guess I never knew that Seattle had that much crime that they had to board up their stores.

Boarding up closed stores happens everywhere, big cities and small towns alike.
