Whatever the outcome, Trump’s rally will be an unintended experiment to see if large indoor events of potentially asymptotic people will spread the virus among the target demographic. We will know in about a month.
Did the huge protests in all the major Democrat run cities cause a spike?
No one is stopping you- there's no penalty in defying any of the virus' rules except infection. If you want to take that risk, then have at it.
The riots were not about the virus. People are fed up with our police killing people who are living while black and they have had enough of the deaths.
Since the cops show little sign of changing their behavior, the citizens are going to do it for them. The first step some are taking is to remove the cop's authority.
That's something much more serious than a couple of hours of a rah-rah rally for Donald Trump. Ironically, the rioters are actually a littles after from Covid when they're out on the streets in the air currents than if they were inside an arena.
(At least until the tear gas goes off. But like the virus is to the Trumpettes, the tear gas is an accepted risk to the rioters.)
If anyone wants to go all MAGA and twiddle around instead of running to the barricades, it's probably to the best they're all shuttered up in the rally anyway.
You have a major Democrat politician on record supplying & encouraging the riots while at the same time, and very hypocritically slamming Trump for ignoring Covid.

Democratic strategist and former Hillary Clinton cheerleader Adam Parkhomenko helped organize supplies such as lunch and water stands for a DC protest where he encouraged ‘a million’ people to come join. That didn’t stop him from tweeting ‘A thousand Americans are dying a day from the pandemic, and the president of the United States is ignoring it.’

Which democrats have condemned the riots? And not half heartedly? More seem mad at Trumps Nd Republicans even though these cop killings are happening in blue cities/states
And why should protests be allowed if social distancing is important? Mass protests by definition go against social distancing. If kids can’t go to the playground or people can’t go to the beach, then protests should not be allowed either. Sorry. It’s an all or nothing thing.
And yet there is a rally. So currently no one is stopping you.
