Were you alive to have seen the riots of the 60s and early 70s? How does the level of violence that we are seeing now compare to the riots back then?
It was a heck of a lot worse in the 60s and in 92.

The 1960s......Vietnam war, with millions of Americans sent there, the draft, JFK assassination, MLK assassination, Robert Kennedy assassination, communist revolution in Cuba, the nuclear stand-off with the Soviets, the Bay Of Pigs, hundreds of riots / protests, race relations boiling over, drugs, war in Israel, Soviets occupying countries in Europe, corruption, National Guard gunning down students, Universities closed down, Nixon, the cold war, you name it. The Christian community thought the end had arrived and that the rapture would happen any minute.

But it was not the end. The young hippies and anarchists managed to change the public opinion, and the Vietnam war winded down, and everything else wound down with it. The last dry-heave was Nixon and Watergate in the 1970s, and then things got normal again.

Seattle is not getting rid of police either. The Chaz fools will run of of gas very soon and go home.

"biden is the medicine..." and the sad thing is you actually think that was a really smart thing to say.

Yeah, I was talking about Chamberlain, was too lazy to look it up. Isn't Mitt late for another round of vulture capitalism a la Bane Capital? He's a punk ass.

McConnell couldn't give a crap less about average everyday working families. All these politicians are in it for themselves. I mean just how much corruption do we need to see to realize that's this is all just a Ponzi scheme and a game and a way to get rich from their positions of power.

At some point, the military, the police, the gun owners and those of us who haven't drunk the Marxist/socialist Kool-Aid are going to say "Enough" and restore sanity. It likely won't be pretty, but those with the real power and the real weapons aren't going to allow this slide to continue indefinitely.

I'm sure He is not for those who riling people's hatred and bias up- by calling folks rapist and murderers, least not the God of Abraham -- maybe of the god of MAMMON.

Don't add God to the political arena-- by the Word you would lose.
God is certainly not on the side of racism, and if you read the Bible, you will not find any recognition or promotion of this vile and deceitful concept in it. He is surely not pleased with any evil in the world, including lawless violence against anyone regardless of whether they are "minorities" or not. That sort of presentation that you are offering smacks of racism, by the way.

America has become a nation for the ignorant and apathetic.
This is the answer, straight up. Here is the answer in the Psalms from King David himself:
Psalm 18:1-3
I love you, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,
and I am saved from my enemies.
No, we are not done. At least we do not have to be.

Chaz? Heck the elected in Seattle are calling it the Summer of Love.

The AG in my state said at a rally that "sometimes the forest has to burn to promote new growth". It not her property that is being destroyed and torched..

They like to blame Trump for it all as if this wouldn't have happened under Hillary, reminder we had riots under Obama and he applauded BLM. Do people really think that Biden has all the answers? Do they really think that if elected all this strife will vanish?

The mob is gearing up to run the show right into the ground and our elected are running scared. If you don't kneel fast enough the mob will destroy you. BLM enjoys complete immunity from criticism. One can be fired from their job, or literally beaten up for saying "all lives matter".

Tucker Carlson had an excellent opinion piece last night

https://www.foxnews.com/category/sho...kers-monologue

He talks about the popularity of BLM and how they got there through shaming people and destruction. If you disagree with them they will burn you down. They are beholding to no one and that is scary.

Whether Trump or Biden is in the WH next year this "movement" is not going to stop. They are now shaping our politics by influencing our weak elected to bend to their demands. Are reparations coming down the line?

So what happens when the BLM movement influences our elected to disband the Police and suddenly the criminals can operate without worry?

We have the Corona that is here to stay and now we have a violent movement where the rioters when they are actually arrested they are quickly released and the charges dropped against them. How much of America has to burn? Did you plan on traveling this Summer? Do you have fear of taking a wrong turn off the road and into the middle of a riot or stuck in traffic for hours due to protesters shutting down the road?

It has been a nice run for America but I fear we are done and that is sad because there is so much still to see and do or at least there was.

Maybe the problem is not that you believed fake news, maybe you want to misrepresent the news that you read.

Not one city in US is planning to get rid of police.

It is always only a matter of time until someone invokes the Goodwin's Law.

Well, it is what it is. They voted in Trump, who said he will get rid if the carnage, and the opposite happened, so they are now saying "it was a nice ride", which means same as giving up.
If it was misrepresenting the news that I read, how come the Editorial Board of WSJ came out with "Defund the Police: Watch Crime Return."

https://www.wsj.com/articles/defund-...&page=1&pos=10

"As police have eased up, violent crime has increased nearly twice as much in the minority third precinct in Minneapolis as city-wide since 2018. In New York’s Harlem neighborhood, which benefitted enormously from anti-crime mayors, murders have soared 160% this year over last while burglaries are up 56% and car-jackings have more than doubled."

And many other articles the past few weeks. Just do a search. WSJ is not happy with the current widespread anarchy. I consider them they only sane mainstream paper out there right now.

Minneapolis IS dismantling their police department. Just because Fox is hyperventilating over it, doesn't make it not true.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/minneap...ce-department/

Whether their 'transformative model of public safety' will resemble a police department or a knitting circle, I don't know.

How has it been a "nice run"?

Like all States the body bag count and enslavement have been there from the beginning.
