Positive cases are increasing at a higher rate than testing is. Cases over a 7 day average have almost tripled in Florida over the last two weeks, testing hasn't gone up by that same level. Hospitalizations over the last 7 days in Florida are higher than they have been Deaths, thankfully are not seeing the same uptick, and likely won't see the levels we had previously seen due to the impacts of a younger and generally healthier population. However, deaths are a lagging indicator and it is too early to tell if deaths will spike or not.
If you're temperature-checked on your way into work and you are over 100.4 you have to get tested. That introduces a further positive bias into the numbers. Something really scary; I went to the dentist a couple of weeks ago, two days after they reopened. Someone who was feeling well had 103 fever.

Why are hospitalizations in TX up x 5.5 since Memorial day?

Houston claimed to be at capacity three weeks ago then quit reporting numbers. The only satisfaction is that liberals can't sing and clap about another day of record increase in admissions.

The senior citizens will vote even more for Trump. They recognize the dementia in Joe better than anyone plus they know the Dems' grand social welfare plans will kill their retirement investments.

Maybe he should have been doing that a month ago?

There may well be some of that. If you have a mild case but have good insurance and the eager docs will admit you, why take the chance?

Increases in positive rates also are an indicator that previous measures have not done enough to reduce transmission.

Just wear a mask. Keep away from others whenever possible. It's not that difficult. You'd think we'd have the hang of it by now.

And when it gets widespread enough you won't have to worry about transmission any more.

How did Europe and Canada succeed while we failed.

There is no healthy economy without healthy citizens.
Are you sure they succeeded? When did they re-open?
