Yeah, most people are fine.

The transition can be rough, but organizers want to build an alternative living condition relative to a highly corporate and privatized police state.

These 'residents' just want to go back to their comfortable lives of not caring about their community, getting paid, and being left alone.

Real communities need cooperation, and CHOP is building a zone where people work together and everyone has a purpose, not the isolated commuter work life most reside with.

Sure there is less material comfort, but CHOP is in its early days, and there is more to life than your own personal comfort.

They're not leaving, its not some dumb protest.

Its a new form of community that isn't based on privatized wealth and police enforcement.

Its a more cooperative labor pool where everyone is important and collective goals meld the hyper isolated commuter capitalism most are accustomed to.

Its brings less wealth to capitol hill, but it brings people together, and its building its own labor infrastructure.

Government is scared because its not taxable labor, corporations can't invest, and residents who have no connection to a community are forced to work with others around and understand the experiences of different classes and races.
