Earlier suggestions that multiple officers from each zone had walked off the job were inaccurate. The department is experiencing a higher than usual number of call outs with the incoming shift. We have enough resources to maintain operations & remain able to respond to incidents.

Sorry righties, looks like you dystopian dreams are on hold.
Notice the replies about the radio silence and the mayor did address this saying that there was an issue.

Statistics, facts and figures be damned.

You wanted this world. Bed, make, lie in it and all that.
I'm referring to making the shooting of Brooks about race.

I don't know why people are making this a race issue.
Statistically speaking...black cops are more likely to shoot a black suspect than a white cop is.

Black cops are 67% more likely to shoot a black suspect than a white cop.

Doctors in CA only make 80K/year?

Very interesting. Ralph_Kirk posted in the George Floyd thread that the cops who gave him the most grief when he had been stopped were black cops (Ralph is black).

Exactly. A nationwide strike by law enforcement for about six months will be about right.

Could end up like the Falklands war with the amount of Brit ASW ordinance spent.

Not just that black cops are 67% more likely to shoot an unarmed black suspect than white cops, Hispanic cops are 145% more likely than white cops to shoot unarmed black suspects.

Where is BLM on this?

Nepotism thrives in the political arena, most all state and federal positions. Why would it not exist within the police department.

I'm thinking more like a month, if it went to six, I don't think our major cities would ever recover.
