it must be nice to just quit when things get tough. Too bad all the innocent people police have killed couldn't just "quit".

good riddance. Ban anybody that walks off from being any type of cop ever again. Go load trailers at Amazon or something.

Well, if you treat people like.....who are you going to get to do the job?

Or, put it another way, don't be surprised when all the quality people you want aren't applying to do the job.

THIS ^^^^^^. The officers have no reasonable or good choice to make. Their lives are at risk either way.

I encourage all officers across the U.S. to do a "work slowdown" to protect themselves:
  • don't respond to most calls (respond only when an officer is requesting help)
  • milk the calls they do respond to
  • clear calls "advised, subject did not want to be arrested, back in service"
  • have constant equipment issues so unable to respond to calls
  • so on
Let the liberals get together and patrol the streets their policies and agenda have ruined and made unfit and unsafe for human to inhabit.

The savages, thugs and liberals are trying to kill our law enforcement officers.

And track them, come on. How many criminals are never found, never caught. Even if you know who they are. Ever tried to deliver a court subpoena via the police department for someone with no steady job or residence? Good luck with that.

So why should cops even be call to shoplifting. Isnt that something the store should handle? I'm sure those shoplifters just need some counseling and job training.
For the same reason officers were called when the guy was "asleep" in his car in the Wendy's drive thru. The guy got violent with officers.

Things are not always what they appear to be and can get out of control and violent quickly.

I bet if they were not responding to calls because there needs to be police reform and they're tired of being besmirched due to bad cops, that this wouldn't be the sentiment you'd be expressing.

Are you sure about that?

This is what happens when you crucify pilots for accidently bombing a church in war time. Demanding such perfection that mistakes aren't allowed to be made, targets do not get hit because your pilots can't be totally sure and are dropping their bombs in the ocean.

they aren't and weren't applying now. that's why they are in this mess. All these so called good cops haven't done anything to the bad cops. The bad cops finally get charged and all the "good" cops walk off? I would be happy as hell if I was a good cop and bad cop was removed from my PD.

This isn't new. The late Baltimore Sun columnist Gregory Kane, who was black (and also by far my favorite columnist for that paper) once wrote about his experiences being pulled over for some minor infraction, like a broken tail light or something. In Baltimore City, the black officer was rude and insulting and intimidating as he gave him a ticket. But in adjacent Baltimore County, where he got pulled over again, the white officer was courteous, friendly, and even made a joke about Kane's type of car (a Ford) needing to be repaired frequently, before giving him a warning.

Knowing 8won6's posting history, I'd be willing to bet I'm right.

I have no clue what the rest of your post is about - it doesn't seem relevant to what I posted.
