A bullet ended up going in a bystanders car.

Rolfe knew the taser had already been discharged and was useless in Brooks' hands. Brooks was unarmed at that point. It was an unjustifiable use of deadly force.
Rolfe, "I got him!"
Rolfe, on video, kicking Mr. Brooks as he lay on the ground.

There is an undeniable criminal thought process going on in Rolfe's mind towards Brooks. Perhaps not justifying a murder charge, but certainly he deserves a lesser offense.

Pardon? Why? He is alleged to have disregarded his training, violated department regulations and to have broken the law. Does the law not apply to police officers?

He will have the best of legal representation and will be tried in public in a court of law. The jury will rightfully decide his fate and he then will have the right to appeal. Why would he be entitled to more?

Good for remembering your talking points, except that this is a witch trial since every action by officer Rolfe was permitted by Georgia State law. A taser is officially a deadly weapon, as the headhunting DA of Altlanta admitted only a few days before. An officer is permitted to use deadly force when threatened by a deadly weapon

If convicted? Hell no.

I thought you folks respected the court system?

If the grown ups don't start taking a stand somewhere this is all going to end very very badly
Nearly half the 184 Georgians shot and killed by police since 2010 were unarmed or shot in the back, an Atlanta Journal-Constitution/Channel 2 Action News investigation has found.

NO- its their fault for allowing the culture to fester. I lived in Jax Fl. when I was younger, we knew to never go to GA especially at night...

A taser is officially a deadly weapon, as the headhunting DA of Altlanta admitted only a few days before that has to be a ruling on the books-- links? because if the police tasered you, and you did nothing to deserve it -then its attempted murder as well. links.
