Capitol Hill has been declining for decades then since graffiti has been prevalent for years. Is that decline good or bad though, I wonder, because one can imagine that instead of the nearby median home price currently being $1M, but for the scourge of graffiti it could be $10M.
ETA: On second thought, considering that a vibrant graffiti "street art" scene is a feature of nearly every one of the world's great cities, I'm going to conclude that the graffiti likely contributes to the high cost of living here.

that accompanies graffiti as those things go)? And maybe breaking a few windows if you didn't think to board them up, stomping the landscape as they go. And even helping themselves to a few of your electronics and other valuables.......after all they're just exhuberantly expressing their first Amendment rights and their demands to transform the status quo into their addled version of Utopia.
And gee, should you be even thinking of enlisting the aid of your Seattle gendarmes to curb some of that protestor enthusiasm for the "remodeling", perhaps downsizing of that vacation home, you and your friends can make bets as to whether or not you will get any bites from those 911 calls. Being adjacent to Anarchy Central and all........
This is what happens where people are raised without limits. Any person (mostly) knows this.
These beneficials sit in their comfy homes surrounded by the remembrances of a life not lived. No challenges really, no life altering events when they needed courage. True courage. Sitting down they surmise the scene as a vast array of self serving reinforcements....and they do nothing.
Trumps error imho is that he did not IMMEDIATELY send in the national guard to every city including Seattle. Stopping the riots would have been presidential and looking at the videos of Seattle's mayor it is not a surprise that force, male bound action, strength and wisdom are absent i truly must wonder how people fall for pretty words.....always.

Yes of course. Anyone can freely walk in and through and around. There are only barriers to keep cars out. And the barriers have been moved (by the city) to shrink the zone this week.
