I was in Sarajevo before the war. it reminded me of this. No snipers as luck would have it.
This is a devastated area. It will take millions of dollars to rebuild. Pikes Place Market is down Pine street and is essentially shuttered.
After being there, seeing with my own eyes, I can report to you that the destruction of this community in about 2 square miles is a foul smelling on your guard area. There is a feeing of threat and danger. It's hard to fathom that it is located is a major city in the United States.
It is tragic and intentional.
Like Sarajevo? I have now heard from people who are actually there in Seattle, and they are saying something entirely different.
I foresee many, many lawsuits against the city of Seattle for their despicable negligence. I hope this family is lawyering up. Maybe they can sue the CHOP-ites for something as well.
"Stacy said she wants accountability for Anderson’s death. Specifically, she wants to know why the protesters didn’t let 911 medical help arrive sooner to her godson, and if the CHOP “medics” have legitimate credentials to give medical aid and make decisions on how the teen was treated and cared for following the shooting.
“I’m trying to understand, why wouldn’t you let 911 medics in to help him,” said Stacy. “You all picked him up. He could’ve still been breathing. We don’t know that.”
Oh for heavens sake Finn people are getting killed in CHOP. Do you seriously want what is happening there to come your area?
I honestly can't understand some people defending this. They have taken over six blocks! That is six blocks of homes, businesses, and public spaces. Taken over. Non-stop noise, crowds, and random armed people wandering about. Tents, porta potties, and graffiti. An area where ambulances, fire engines, and cops will either be delayed or prevented from coming. And if you want to sell your home, or get out of your lease...well the joke's on you. Who on earth is okay with this? A friend said this yesterday..."It's only six blocks" Yeah, but what if it was your six blocks? This is a guy who lives in a co-op that doesn't even let kids play on the grass. He thinks CHOP is no big deal.
The government isn't stopping this. The cops can't get in. So the only recourse is greedy lawyers. I hope they rain lawsuits on Seattle like fire and brimstone. The leaders have failed the city.

The OP went inside the area. Why are you questioning him?
The people you know in Seattle are probably like the people I know in Seattle. They have no clue about what's going on - they don't live near the area and aren't watching the news.

First I've seen of this video wow, honestly those people yelling and screaming at the police and refusing to allow them access to the person shot... all deserve to be arrested. What a bunch of lowlife people. This is NOT peaceful at all!
It's amazing the people who live there have put up with this as long as they have
Anything for the cause.
