Please see my post regarding George Washington & slavery linked below.

TL;DR - Washington treated his slaves well, regretted slave ownership, worked behind the scenes lobbying Congress to abolish slavery, and freed his slaves at the end of his life.

It's the Cultural Revolution. Maoism and the destruction of the "Four Olds":

The Four Olds or the Four Old Things (simplified Chinese: 四旧; traditional Chinese: 四舊; pinyin: sì jiù) was a term used during the Cultural Revolution by the Red Guards in the People's Republic of China in reference to the pre-communist elements of Chinese culture they attempted to destroy. The Four Olds were: Old Customs, Old Culture, Old Habits, and Old Ideas. The campaign to destroy the Four Olds began in Beijing on August 19, 1966, shortly after the launch of the Cultural Revolution.

Substitute the little red books for #BLM hashtags.

Who believed them?

They are at war against the country. You don't need stealth bombers and military personnel battling it out to be at war.

They are in war mode. They have a strategy. They have paid troops. It is in play now. The race divide was the trojan horse.

I suggest you watch the whole 15 min of this... especially when he speaks of coming them coming after everyone - and when he says the race issue needs to be put aside for now because of what's coming. It was done back in 2016 or early 2017.

It doesn't have a thing to do with slave ownership-most of those savages are too damn stupid to know if he owned slaves or not. It has to do with destroying any kind of symbol of this great nation. Similar vicious little mentality to burning the flag. You need to get over any thought that we're discussing rational, decent human beings.

I can't wait to see who they replace it with.

I'm sure it will be a doozy.

I know there are two threads going here about the same event but here is one of the big problems for me: if a statue of George Washington was so egregious, why didn't the citizens in Portland organize and go to their mayor and city council and ask for the statue to be removed?
