Something everyone in this debate always tend to ignore is that there were BLACK slave owners too.
Fact is only 1.6% of whites owned slaves and 2.3% of blacks owned slaves. In Africa blacks are still buying selling and owning slaves...TODAY!
Also, it seems the Muslim world is still very active in slavery, primarily black slaves but not limited to just them.
Stuff no one wants to mention...all anyone wants to do is cry over something ended here generations ago. Maybe its just because its so much safer to do that here because we aren't really very racist or violent.
