As long as no one was being rammed with a vehicle or threatened with a knife, then it is entirely different.
A mob attacking your car might eventually pull out a weapon gun or knife. they can pull you out of your car and beat and stomp you causing serious injure or death, not to mention destroy your car.

People need to be smart, not look for trouble. That feeds into what NPR was trying to say in their article which was "We the oppressed progressives are the victims here, and right wing agitators are the problem!"
Flip the script on that.
1-If there is protests/unrest do not go in that area if you do not need to.
2-Assume you are being filmed constantly
2- If you have legit business/need to be in an area in your car, do not be an aggressor, unless aggressed first. If a mob runs at your car, and blocks you in or attacks your windows, you are being aggressed. If you drive into a mob, you are not being aggressed.
I never encouraged people to look for trouble. I encouraged people to be ready to defend themselves from trouble. This society is getting more and more lawless thanks to the dems encouraging and siding with the lawless. Society is breaking down. We need to defend ourselves, not look for trouble.

It's seems like a wild mob claiming they are hard done by because their ancestors, possibly 10 generations of ancestors, were collected by the British and sold to the Americas. What's the objective? Repatriation? Money? Opportunity? Destruction of society? Movements need vision and goals.
I still listen to NPR, they still have some of the most interesting stories especially when it comes to international news or historical news, but this was abysmal reporting. 1. Did they offer any proof that those running over protesters are right wing. 2. Obviously using a random photo from an incident isn't only sloppy but bad reporting in general, but they owe that woman an apology.
All around whoever chose the image for this story needs to be let go, as that's a potential career ruiner on both ends, NPR could get sued and the women could get defamed, albeit you'll have to dig a bit to find out who it is driving the car, that's never stopped twitter before.

I take issue with blaming colonists for Canada and white people for the USA. No one alive today had anything to do with it, and it's just plain weird and rather awful that some people are prancing around threatening others because something an ancestor did doesn't sit well. It's a situation where the dead relative is off the hook, but some descendant who knows nothing about it is victimized. I don't know whether that makes sense, but it's a very confusing situation for so many.
... and it's not "racist" stupidity. It's that the situation doesn't make sense. It has no vision, no stated goals beyond retaliatory angry manifestos.
Based on that video I saw, it escalated really quickly. It looked like they went to her window, they were talking, she said something that pissed them off and they went in to attack her.
We dont know what happened before the video started, but what the hell was she thinking driving down a street with protesters on it? She went into a war zone, shes an idiot. Based on how she drove, she had plenty pf room to go around them the first time and didnt. I agree that she would have to ram through people to save her own ass, but look..you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
So now the victim is at fault. You might as well blame gunshot victims for being in the way of the bullet.

The leadership at NPR is virtually all white. They seem to think race-baiting and virtue signaling makes up for that.
