He got uppity

Judging from the response of his racing family it seems they have waited a long time for someone to be brave enough to challenged the vocal minority of hate in racing.

Stop copping out. The "color of their skin" argument is a cop out. Let's talk about the gorilla in the room here. Lots of black emulate the criminal rap and hip hopper culture. They are associated and identified with that. It's not simply the color oftheir skin.

IT'S THE GARBAGE RAPPERS AND HIP HOPPER CULTURE.

They need to take responsibility for the criminal garbage they emulate and listen to. They need to call out their own rappers and hip hoppers for promoting violence, domestic violence, rape, profanity, gang banging, and drug use. Young people listen to tjat garbage and emulate that culture and then expect to be treated with respect? Give me a break!

Spoken like someone who doesn't understand hip hop.

First of all, hip hop started out pretty positive. With very good messages for youth in the streets at the time. It was used as a way to kids in gangs to find something more positive to do with their time. For example many formed break dancing crews. The hip hop movement that came out of NYC in the late 70s and early 80s was positive.

And it wasn't just positive, it was also very fun. However there was always an element of rap that promoted violence. But it was never a huge part of rap. Schooly D from Philly was the first gangsta rapper. But he still wasn't a huge part of what the music was at the time.

Even in the late 90s, at a time when black on black violence was high. Hip hip lead a ton of stop the violence movement. Songs like "All In The Same Gang" and "Self Destruction" were huge collaborations and hits. And there were many community efforts to curb street violence.

In the the late 80s NWA came around. And eventually the group would go in 2 different directions. Ice Cube would release the classic Amerikkka's Most Wanted and Dr. Dre would release Da Chronic. Ice Cube's approach was more political. Where Dr Dre's approach was a celebration of gangsterism.

As a grass roots movement hip hop was good. It wasn't long before big money poured in. They choose Dr. Dre and Deth Row Records to promote. Deth Row would become a massive record label. But it would also set the standard for hip hop going forward. Other rappers would of course try to emulate that success by also celebrating gangster lifestyles. Even TuPac who was mostly a socially concious rapper changed his image to Thug Life to get more mainstream success.

The reality is gangster rap sells, and have always done so. Hence it's now the only form of rap allowed to be promoted anymore. There are still very positive rap acts, but they lack the promotion and corporate dollars. A few creep in like J. Cole or Kendrik Lamar. But they are usually drowned out by the frivolous gangster rap.

If you want to blame anyone from the proliferation of gangsterism. Blame the mainstream media machine. They're the ones that push the images. And yes black people have complained about this for years.

I have not been following this story at all (but aware of it). Are you saying that the racer supports BLM, and prominently advertises that fact? If so, and while I find the noose abhorrent, he himself is supporting an anti-white racist movement, and posters should be free to criticize that.

What does anti white really mean at the end of the day? White means nothing at the end of the day. It's just an empty term

It means hostile to white people, regardless of the time of day.

White is Caucasian, and it’s a race. Morning, noon, and night. Hardly an empty term, but interesting that you show such derision for it.

How’d you feel if people said black means nothing at the end of the day? That Black Lives Matter is meaningless because black is just an empty term?

Plus, saying “what does anti-white mean” shows a big shrug as far as racism toward whites go.

There is no such thing as white people. Just as there is no such thing as black people. These are not genetic terms. They're social terms. The terms could mean anything you want them to mean as long as there is a consensus for them. Those who are considered black today could be considered white in the future if there was a consensus that said so.

So we must first deconstruct these terms. Because why be upset if something is anti anything. When we only base the term on assumptions.

And all "white" people aren't the same. Different migration, different history, etc. There isn't even a cultural uniformity

Caucsion does not mean white. That's false. Caucasian can include many other ethnic groups like Indians, Arabic, etc.
