I've got to disagree with Reagan's position in that chart. Reagan should be about where Friedman is.

Right wing in some regards, left wing in others. A crazy evil man with his own unique ideology.

Unique ideology?

Where have you resided over the previous 4 decades?

Explain your question and what was wrong with my answer. The Nazis really can't be put so easily into either 'right' or 'left' political ideology.

I'm getting tired... I'll look for your answer in the morning.

He was leader of the German Socialist Worker’s Party. He worked to divide Germany into racial groups and then blamed other racial groups for Germany’s problems and made them victims. He worked to reduce the influence of religion. He and his buddy Goerbles used the media to brainwash people.

A liberal, yes, but Hitler was first and foremost a eugenicist, as were many prominent Americans at the time.

In fact, were it not for the already well established and highly respected American eugenics movement, the concept of race superiority, a foundational pillar of Nazi Party ideology, may have never gained traction in Germany, Japan and elsewhere.

With unnuanced eugenics falling out of favor with the public after the details of Nazi extermination camps and Japanese atrocities committed in South-East Asia were learned, it seems both the left and right have settled on simply exploiting the lower classes for the benefit of the elites.

Sure, the same cast of characters would still love to exterminate undesirables (such as myself), but they realize that unchecked black-on-black violence (see BLM), an absent black father and a PP clinic on every corner in the black parts of town accomplishes many of the same eugenics goals.

While another poster correctly pointed out how "fascism" can come from the left or the right (and also how the opposite side is all too willing to only attribute it to their opponents), rest assured though Hitler & Co were certainly nationalistic, they were at their hearts socialists.

Hitler was a racist, authoritarian, had people he liked cancelled, controlled the press, had jobs taken and freedom taken from people that opposed him....so he would have checked all the boxes to be a Democrat.

Simple enough to answer: Which side of the political divide wants to exert massive control over companies and businesses, endlessly opines about race/religion/gender/whatever, is enthusiastically destroying free speech that can be deemed "hate speech", and constantly tells everyone "All of the problems in your life are because of those people over there!! We need to punish them!!"

Somewhere, somehow, because they dominate education and news media, everyone was sold a big fat lie: Nazism and Fascism are "Far Right." You may be able to cherry pick a few things that make these ideologies fit on the Right, but from a big picture perspective, this makes no sense at all. Nazism and Fascism are race obsessed systems where the means of production is largely controlled by whatever the government demands. It's Far Left, just a different flavor. This is precisely why China looks almost exactly like Nazi Germany when you take away the Socialism and utilize Capitalism.
