You are right that there are knots that look like nooses but are not slip knots, and have a different name. I don't know if this one is.

Personally, I don't care if it is a noose. It wasn't directed at anyone personally. And even if was I don't think it is anymore threatening than writing "BLM" or whatever on some white guy's door you are mad at.

A noose doesn’t need to be large enough to fit around a man’s neck to be a noose. Come up with something less absurd as a defense

But bottom line is that noose predates Bubba Wallace and I don't blame his team for bringing it to NASCAR's attention
