Uh.... no.

She defeated Joe Crowley, a Democrat.

Guy Molinari and his daughter held the office for 10 years in the 1980's after Fred Richmond resigned over a federal corruption conviction. Not even Richmond having sex with a 16 year old boy was enough for Dems to turn him out of office. Other than that stretch after Richmond's resignation, Dems have held the seat since 1927.

As a conservative, I am very pleased to see AOC win re-election as the congresswoman from the Bronx, as this shows how strongly she is supported by not only the people in her district, but by Democrats across the country. This woman is not very smart, she does not know very much, she is an absolute radical socialist in no uncertain terms, and she has no filter.

She is a gift to the conservative movement and also to the campaign to re-elect President Trump.

So, with effusive enthusiasm I congratulate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on her win last night and her virtually assured win in November.

Well done, comrade!
It may be fine for conservatives, but some things still need to happen.

This is grim news for New York unless they can get a strong Republican with teeth to overcome this. I really thought so many had begun to distance from AOC after the Amazon debacle. New Yorkers keep voting for the same people (and party) that get them in messes all the time, and AOC's primary win won't give them a different result. Caruso-Cabrera would have been a saner choice for those who still vote Democrat.

It could not happen to a better state. They seem to like destructive leaders and policies.

Let us praise the invisible pink unicorn of plenty, that farts rainbows of money, for good little socialists to spend and give away.

The people of her district should be able to elect who they want. I certainly don't want anyone outside my state and district to have any say in who we elect. Good for her and this shows they must approve the job she is doing. It's not my business.

How does an intelligent, former business reporter lose to a destructive, unintelligent, divisive socialist tightwad?? How does this happen? There needs to be an investigation into voter fraud. Or is it just that New Yorkers have become the stupidest people on this planet?

Granted, it's just the primaries, but this is where you're supposed to have good candidates stand out and win.

She is well on her way to a lifetime of "public service".

Good thing she won. Not too many bartender jobs around in NYC these days.
