Would you be willing to move back to the caucus mountains?
I'm not the one protesting, rioting, looting, stealing, destroying, beating up people, toppling statue---Im satisfied with where I'm at, so why should I go anywhere?
Africa just recorded the highest rate of modern-day enslavement in the world. Armed conflict, state-sponsored forced labor, and forced marriages were the main causes behind the estimated 9.2 million Africans who live in servitude without the choice to do so, according to the 2018 Global Slavery Index.
Would African-American be willing to move back to Africa then? I mean they are the greatest innovators, inventors and most hardworking people in the world right? LOL....
And yet that doesn’t prevent progressives from demanding reparations from white Americans for what Africans are ultimately responsible for.
It’s like a parent capturing and selling their child and only the buyer getting the blame.
No.. slavery isn’t like anything but slavery.
You don’t get to place all the blame on Africans but that’s what some white people try and do to make themselves feel better about the history of slavery in America.
There is no slavery in Africa. Because slavery is an institution. Essentially slavery was a right around most of the world, and was protected by law. You cannot find any examples in the entire world where slavery is protected.
In a country where slavery is legal. If a slave escapes you, they cannot legally be free. You can use the state to help you recapture the slave. The state recognizes your right to own someone else, and the state recognizes it as your property. So the state will enforce the idea of slavery and protect it.
Today this does not happen. Slavery is not protected anywhere in the world. What you have is usually sex trafficking and these are criminal organizations. If someone escapes they cannot go to any official agency and get legal help in recapturing the slave. Hence this is not slavery. Its subjugation, but not slavery.
There's supply and demand, so why are we attacking only 1/2 the perpetrators?
Don't confuse people with history and actual facts.
Like the fact that the first slave owner in America was the free black man Anthony Johnson, who sued to have his black indentured servant, John Casor, condemned to slavery for life.
Not that such isolated instance negates the evil of slavery in America. It does not. It is just that it is not something that comes up during black history month -- the fact that the first man to own a black slave was himself a black man.

Just because their skin was black doesn't mean they had anything in common.
Johnson was Angolan and no doubt spoke Portuguese growing up. Nazi Germans and Jews were both "White" people.
