Interesting, you seem to be getting pretty defensive. I don't think anyone wants to see large cities go away, but many are questioning the Democratic policies and their effects in these cities.
You don't get it, even though I explained it very clearly.
Your article talks about people leaving, and nothing about people coming in.
What happens when 90 people leave and 100 comes in? Think about it. Take your time.
They cite their sources. The net effect of those leaving plus those arriving is that population is declining in NYC, LA, Chicago, etc. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

What happens when 90 affluent retirees leave for sunny, affordable southern states and 100 low-skilled arrive looking for a job. That's better for the city, right? Let's throw in another 20 homeless who arrive. Man, you're sitting on a big net gain now! Sheesh.

census count of 8,175,133. Post-2010 growth translates into an average annual gain of about 17,500
persons, or 0.2 percent compounded annually. Population growth has been fueled by the continued
surplus of births over deaths, which has been partially offset by net outflows from the c
Year over year, the population of NYC, LA, Chicago, etc., has declined. That decline started during the Obama Admin.
So, you'd rather whine and complain as opposed to think about why 80% of Americans do not trust Republicans when it comes to local issues?
Identifying the reason COULD BE the beginning of the path to a solution, but I think people prefer to complain rather than contribute.
Then why do you spend your days whining about them?
Who's whining and complaining ? Like I stated before, the big cities can do whatever they want, and so far it looks like a fail. I live 40 miles from Detroit and sit on 2 acres. There is no complaining here.
