Your article talks about people leaving, and nothing about people coming in.

What happens when 90 people leave and 100 comes in? Think about it. Take your time.
They cite their sources. The net effect of those leaving plus those arriving is that population is declining in NYC, LA, Chicago, etc. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

So, you'd rather whine and complain as opposed to think about why 80% of Americans do not trust Republicans when it comes to local issues?

Identifying the reason COULD BE the beginning of the path to a solution, but I think people prefer to complain rather than contribute.

Then why do you spend your days whining about them?

The OP 'question' is not a question, but a straw-man argument.

Besides, I do not identify as liberal, so it is not even directed at me.

However, my question addresses this: If Libs cannot run America's cities, why should we give them 1 more inch of territory?

Why do WE (80% of Americans who live in metro areas) reject Republicans and their ideas time and again when it comes to local issues.

How is this not a Liberal caused TRAIN WRECK?

Please cite specific policies by local Republican Mayors, city councilmen, police chiefs, County commissioners, and school boards.

If you deflect to Trump, I will call you out, so beware. Stick to the topic...Dems killing America's cities.
So you isolate all those Blue cities surrounded by rednecks -- I mean red voters.

Yeah that's convenient not to believe that folks don't trave city borders in those areas.

Convenient and naive.

Name a Republican large city you think is being managed well.

What happens when 90 affluent retirees leave for sunny, affordable southern states and 100 low-skilled arrive looking for a job. That's better for the city, right? Let's throw in another 20 homeless who arrive. Man, you're sitting on a big net gain now! Sheesh.

The highly skilled decided to telecommute to skip the high taxes, high crime, high cost of living, and the general stress of living life in your overpriced center of culture.

That's the problem with leftists, they can't think for s--t.

Summary
The U.S. Census Bureau has estimated New York City’s population at 8,336,817, as of July 1, 2019.
This represented an increase of 161,684 residents (or 2.0 percent) over the April 1, 2010 decennial
census count of 8,175,133. Post-2010 growth translates into an average annual gain of about 17,500
persons, or 0.2 percent compounded annually. Population growth has been fueled by the continued
surplus of births over deaths, which has been partially offset by net outflows from the c
Year over year, the population of NYC, LA, Chicago, etc., has declined. That decline started during the Obama Admin.

Who's whining and complaining ? Like I stated before, the big cities can do whatever they want, and so far it looks like a fail. I live 40 miles from Detroit and sit on 2 acres. There is no complaining here.
