America Has Chosen Herd Immunity, give me a projected death count
"We, The People" have not chosen it.

The Admin and GOP have chosen denial for themselves, and misinformation for their constituents.

No. The government needs to promote general welfare by informing the public about the risk, and about how to minimize it. Unfortunately the GOP is too deeply invested in denying the issue that they won't do it.

Such messaging campaign would be textbook example of the Constitutional mandate to promote general welfare, and it wouldn't cost much (practically nothing)

O.k. given this reality prevention or trying to "flatten the curve" is not happening in America.
There are too many rebels to go the route of Europe.

There are other threads debating the efficacy of wearing the masks. Let's not debate that here.
We can see the writing on the wall, too many people are against masks for political reasons for them ever to be a solution.
And if a vaccine miraculously arrives the same people against wearing masks are going to be against taking the vaccine.

It's going to be herd immunity in America, the handwriting is on the wall. That is what we are looking at. We're going Brazil

So please give me a projected death count and point in time when we will reach herd immunity, thanks

what is the cost going to be? Will I survive this?

.
50K additional deaths.
After the election.

i'm willing to die fighting china for sending us their bioweapon.
and the more people affected by the bioweapon the more people are going to want revenge on the CCP.
If it is a bio weapon then it’s the worst one ever. Over 99 percent of people survive it and many never even know they have it. It was more likely released from the Wuhan lab that was studying it due to bumbling incompetence. You give the CHICOMS way to much credit.

If trump loses the election we will never hear about coronavirus again. If he wins the pandemic will continue....as will the riots.

We will be punished until we accept the socialism.

Masks shouldn't mandated. People should just use common sense.

If you're in a crowded public transporation or a crowded store or area, sure. But if you're outside walking down the street or at a beach or working out, no.

These mask mandates need to actually make sense before their enforced. These blind "mask mandates" are just as bad as people who don't wear them at all.

It doesn’t work. You have certain law enforcement agencies saying they won’t enforce a mask requirement.

We’re under mandatory masks and I can’t tell you how many people I’ve seen go into stores and either take masks off or wear them with their noses exposed.

We will get a vaccine, so many companies have already developed vaccines that work- they just need to complete the mandatory tests to get certification, but several of them are already in mass production in hopes of having hundreds of millions of doses available around the end of the year. (there are one or two that have hopes of being ready by October/November).

But with that being said, your comment about masks has me dumbfounded, too. It is the absolute simplest thing we can do to really tamp down this virus until a vaccine is available- but yet we have so many people refusing, as if somehow it is an infringement on their rights. It is idiotic how this has become politicized! The science is there, it is a fact that masks pretty much eliminate the risk of someone who may be covid positive from spreading it to others.

So yes, the world will be engaging in herd immunity.
No, that is not what is happening. With social distancing, masks, and other measures in place most other countries in places like Europe and Asia as well as Australia, New Zealand, and Canada have tamped this down to a low level and have kept a lid on it for the most part and are well on their way to reopening.

The US is the only place that is an absolute disaster now- part of it is our unwillingness to wear masks.

It was a mutual agreement by world leaders. A virus that leaves children alone and targets the sick and elderly at an alarming rate? C'mon. The sick and elderly costs the government money through social security, medicare and medicaid. Every elderly person who passes away is likely saving the government hundreds of thousands. If they own any assets they also get to collect huge 50% estate tax on those assets.

Look, half the country is refusing to wear masks

It's going to be the same thing with a vaccine, Alex Jones is going to be working overtime
