Cuomo has 1600 dead per million people. Amazingly-NJ has actually managed to play catch-up. No other state is even close to this level of incompetence.
If I wanted to know how to deal with the Chinavirus, I'd ask the governor of Texas-who has 1/20th the death rate of Cuomo. Even Florida, a larger state with an older, more vulnerable population, has 1/10th that of NY.
There were just a few reasons that NY had a high mortality rate but the issue now is these Trump states that ignored the science and went their own way to reopen. The have spike the US infection rate to where it was 2 months ago and now we lead the world exceeding even Brazil and India. We possess some of the best medical people in the world and its useless without leadership.

Governors aren't equipped to deal with a global pandemic. That's the job of the federal government which has failed.
So many Cuomo apologists with their diluted responses. You would have thought he actually saved 25k lives by the amazing praise he gets on here, when he actually contributed to a lot of deaths due to ridiculous policies. I’ve asked this question many times over, and have yet to hear a response on what he actually has done to deserve such praise. People can’t name a single thing he has done. Instead of blaming others for his ineptness, he should take responsibility for not being pre-pared at all, while telling us in March how we were “well prepared”. Also, people need to focus on the real villains here, and its China. They were the ones who screwed the entire world, yet all I read is how everything is the president’s fault? It’s really mind-boggling.
One thing I learned with Obama was how much media support can shape public perception. No matter how many scandals that they themselves broke news of, they always eventually cast it as some witch-hunt by the Republicans. Andrew Cuomo enjoys an only slightly less fawning press.

The governors in the northeast have this under control for now. The south, especially Florida, is the next epicenter.
