Is Faux News making this up as well to make the pres look bad???
I'm going to be really interested to see what happens over the next few days with this story. Right now the Trump apologists are all over the place with it.
We've of course got the knee jerk "fake news" going on.
We've got "Trump didn't know because he wasn't briefed"
We've got "Trump knows but he is playing 4 D chess"
The intel community transcend administrations, made up the majority of careerist. Try to to confuse them with the political appointees.
The intel community at that, has all the motivation in the world to not deescalate conflicts, and to get involved in more conflicts, their 20, 30+ year career hangs on this. Many in the intel field had their entire career based upon the Afghan conflict, to see that go away would be a severe blow to them, 20 years doing one thing, now that is over. People do not let things go so easily, just like what happened after the Cold War.
This whole story makes zero sense, but neither did the Iraqi WMD story.
The US is doing about all it can to withdraw, something the Taliban and Russia wants. It makes zero sense to take actions to keep the US there, and when since did the Taliban need a bounty as a reason to kill US troops? They are literally at war with the US.
Becauuuuuse Trump was making a 'deal' with the Taliban?
Well, tell us what exactly he should do. Perhaps all out nuclear war?
It doesn’t matter what he does... Whatever it is the left will use it against him. Damned if he does damned if he doesn’t. This has been the SOP of the left since he announced he was running. They’re crying wolf for the umpteenth time probable wishing the POTUS will give them more ammo to use against him.
"may have been included at some point in the President's Daily Brief but not conveyed to President Donald Trump in a formal threat briefing because it wasn't yet "actionable," the top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee said.
"I believe it may have been" in the written President's Daily Brief, or PDB, Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said in an interview."
"May have" is a hell of a lot different than "was" as you asserted.
I am guessing you do not have a JD, lol. Even HS English?
You also left out a crucial detail, "but not conveyed to President Donald Trump in a formal threat briefing because it wasn't yet "actionable,"".
Everyone knows how Trump hates daily briefings. He would rather hear what is going on by watching TV and those fake news media folk then react with tweets.
His administration is afraid of him because he is a spoiled man child who has major temper tantrums.
To have a briefing about this and make it a partisan issue by not including the Dems shows the immaturity with which our country is being run.
Not a day passes when trump is not lying. What gets me are the die hard Trump supporters who can’t and won’t see any flaws in this administration he hand picked. Take off the blinders and see what a dirt bag this guy in the White House really is. He values his friendship with Putin over his own countrymen. No matter how trump wants to spin it Russia is NOT our friend. Just like trumps disgusting behavior in Helsinki, Trump is still the traitor the Republicans don’t want to acknowledge.
